Who we are, how we research every guide on this site, and how we make money.
Induction Cooktop Australia is an independent comparison and buying-guide site focused on one category: induction cooktops sold in Australia. We are not owned by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Westinghouse, Bosch, Miele, Smeg, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Neff, AEG, Asko or any other manufacturer named on this site. Every brand mention reflects our own research, not a paid placement.
We don't run a physical test lab — we're upfront about that. Instead, every guide and every spec on this site is built from three sources, cross-checked against each other:
Zone counts, wattage, dimensions and safety features are taken from the official published specifications for each model, not estimated.
Price ranges are checked against current Australian retail and marketplace listings and re-checked on a rolling basis — see the "Updated" date on each guide.
Installation, electrical and safety guidance is cross-referenced against Australian government and standards-body publications (linked as sources on the relevant guides).
Where we describe how a cooktop feels to use in practice — heat-up speed, noise level, control feel — that reflects a synthesis of manufacturer documentation and consistent patterns reported across many verified Australian retail and owner reviews, not a single reviewer's opinion. We say so explicitly wherever it applies, and we prioritise being useful and accurate over being exhaustive: if we haven't verified something to our own standard, we don't publish it as fact.
Induction Cooktop Australia participates in the Amazon Associates program. Product links on this site go to Amazon Australia search results tagged with our affiliate ID, and we earn a small commission on qualifying purchases — at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which products we mention or how we rank them: our starting point is always Australian search demand and genuine product fit, not commission rate.
Appliance specs, pricing and availability change. If you spot an error, an outdated price range, or a discontinued model on any guide, we want to fix it. Every guide lists its last-updated date at the top, and guides are revisited on a rolling schedule as brands update their ranges — pricing and specification changes are the most common reason a page gets revised.
No manufacturer, retailer or brand has paid for placement, a favourable review, or inclusion in a "best of" list on this site. Where a guide compares two or more brands, the comparison is based on published specifications and typical Australian retail pricing at the time of writing — not on affiliate commission structure.
